Hi, I wanted to add what I think is an interesting connection which was told to me by my Grandmother.
My Grandmother, Matilda Ellen Berry (1889-1982) – also known as “Nellie” spoke very fondly of the Jerome’s from when she was their “Tweeny” or between stairs maid. She spoke about walking the dog and I believe she was at Gould’s Grove until she married in 1913.

    Hi Jasmine,
This is lovely – any more details? Have you any photos of your grandmother at the time she worked for the Jeromes? It would be nice to put something in the next edition of Idle Thoughts.
