I have just discovered that JKJ’s ‘Passing of the Third Floor Back’ is being performed at the excellent little Finborough Theatre from 28 November to 22 December

It’s not my favourite work of the Master by a long way…but should be well worth seeing all the same.
(First London production for 70 years, according to the theatre)

I went to see this last night and can thoroughly recommend it. i thought the tone was just right and the standard of acting was excellent. The Finborough is a tiny space and it was managed well.

I’ve now seen it, too, and very much agree with the strong recommendation above. I (and, I think, the rest of the full-house) thoroughly enjoyed the performance…and it’s helped me understand JKJ’s way of seeing people as well. Just one week left now (and not many seats) if anyone else would like to see it.
