I read Jerome K. Jerome because of Connie Willis' hysterical, in the same tone "To say nothing of the dog. (which is the subtitle for 3 men in a boat)"  And found out she read it in
"Have spacesuit will travel" so I read that, and it was terrific. Anybody know of any other books he's in?

I think that Bill Bryson borrowed from it in Notes from a Small Island. I read it years ago, and was delighted to find that it had a similar tone. In fact, much of Bill Bryson's work has a JKJ feel to it.

Clopae - would you mind very much re-registering yourself please? I inadvertently deleted you from the Memberlist. Apologies.
