Subscription levels have just been announced at the AGM. These remain the same from 1 January 2008, except that the Family subscription is reduced from £20 to £15. Corporate remains at £30, Ordinary at £12, Senior Citizen £12, Student £8. There are now 183 members of the Society worldwide. Membership Secretary Wilson hopes that these levels 'will not need to be reviewed for several years'.
Why do I mention this? Because over the next year, we shall be introduing via the JKJ website, itself shortly to be the subject of a facelift, a number of features that will be available to members only. These will include a complete and detailed bibliography, various relevant items from past issues of Idle Thoughts, a selection of high resolution pictures available for download and various other bits and bobs.
This is in addition to the benefits already enjoyed by members - eligibility to attend the Annual Dinner, Carol Concert and other Society activities, as well as the unmissable Idle Thoughts, the latest edition of which (the Hon. Sec. assures me) will reach members before Christmas.
So as well as contributing to the Forum - why not join the Society, if you haven't done so already? 113 members pay by Bank Standing Order, a high proportion of them having joined the Society's Gift Aid Scheme.
